Our Projects
Community & Equity-Centered Project
Five Points neighborhood in Denver, Colorado was once known as “The Harlem of the West.” A neighborhood redlined in the 1930s, Five Points became a celebration of self-determination for the Black community in Denver. In this project, we heard stories from Black community members and weaved them together with the policies that have impacted the area from redlining in the 1930s to gentrification today. Facilitation & Professional Development
In 2024, we worked with Gary Community Ventures to lead and facilitate the Youth-to-Youth Peer Support Program community of practice. With goals around increasing credentialing of staff and youth as well as increasing sustainable funds for this programming, we worked with 6 community based organizations in the Denver Metro area to help them increase their capacity to support youth and collaborate across programming.
Landscape & Data Analysis
On behalf of the Community College of Aurora, we conducted a landscape analysis for renewable energy and early childhood programs to help the college decide how to move forward. For these projects we analyzed labor market information, interviewed employers, surveyed current students and high schools students and used this information to develop a report of the industries and recommendations towards programming.
Career Pathway Program Development
Secured funds from the Behavioral Health Administration to develop pilot PTECH programs in behavioral health with Aurora Public Schools, the Community College of Aurora, and major providers in the area to support high school students to gain skills and employment in the behavioral health field for free and cultimnating in in-demand degrees and work-based learning experiences.
